Hedge Trimming

Trimming is important for the health of your hedges. Trimming out dead or diseased parts of the plant will keep the hedge healthier while allowing new growth to proceed. Hedges may be kept formal or informal, according to your liking.

Formal hedges are very tightly clipped and kept very neat. They should be slightly tapered so that the base is wider than the top and light can reach the bottom of the hedge.

Informal hedges receive minimal cutting. They have a looser more natural shape.
